Description
LOCTITE SI 5900 is a moisture-cured, heavy-bodied RTV silicone flange sealant engineered for demanding automotive and industrial gasketing applications. It is designed for form-in-place sealing of rigid and semi-rigid flanges, delivering long-term resistance to engine oils, vibrations and joint movement. The non-slump, thixotropic formulation allows LOCTITE SI 5900 to stay in place after application, making it suitable for vertical and overhead flanges. Its heavy-bodied nature enables assemblies to withstand low-pressure, on-line leak tests before full cure, improving productivity in maintenance and production environments.
Once cured, LOCTITE SI 5900 forms a durable, flexible elastomeric seal that will not shrink, crack, harden, or relax – even under continuous exposure to oil, temperature variation, and joint movement.
